Clear several spaces in one organised visit.

A property cleanout brings together rubbish from different parts of a home. It may be a few rooms and a garage, or a larger mixed load from inside and outside. Show the crew every space included in the job so the quote reflects what you actually need cleared.

Living areas and bedrooms

Unwanted sofas, tables, chairs, beds, wardrobes, cabinets, boxes and loose household items. Appliances can be included as part of a larger cleanout.

Garages and storage

Stored furniture, shelving, packaging, bags and accumulated clutter. Include separate sheds, storage cages and cupboards when describing the load.

Outdoor areas

Outdoor furniture and suitable hand-loadable garden rubbish. Separate green waste from mixed rubbish and flag anything unusually heavy or fixed in place.

For a single type of job, explore furniture removal, garage cleanouts or storage unit clearouts. A property cleanout is useful when those jobs overlap and you want to discuss the whole load together.

Make a room-by-room plan for what goes and stays.

Start with a short list of the spaces to clear. In each one, identify items to keep, items someone else is collecting and rubbish for the crew. You do not need to carry heavy pieces outside to prepare for a quote.

Set retained belongings aside

Check furniture drawers, cupboards and boxes for documents, photographs, keys, jewellery and other personal items. Move small retained belongings to a separate area and clearly label larger pieces that must stay.

Show the full scope

Take a wide photo of each room or pile, then close-ups of awkward items. Include the garage and any outdoor rubbish in the same enquiry. Mention locked spaces or rooms you cannot yet inspect so they are not accidentally left out of the plan.

Agree on the order

If you are still living at the property, identify rooms you need to keep using and a clear route to the exit. For a staged clearout, explain what is ready now and what must wait. Discuss the visits and pricing before treating the work as one booking.

The crew removes the items you identify and approve. A clear keep-and-remove plan is especially helpful when several people are making decisions about the same property.

Arrange access once, including the spaces out of sight.

Give us the Sydney suburb, property type, floor levels and preferred date. Describe stairs, lifts, side gates, steep driveways and the distance from the rubbish to a legal truck stopping point.

  • Keys and permissions: arrange access to the home, garage, storage cage and any separate outbuildings included in the quote.
  • One decision-maker: have an authorised person available to identify retained items and approve the price.
  • Building arrangements: confirm lift bookings, loading entrances and collection hours with the building contact.
  • Other work: explain whether cleaners, removalists or tradespeople need the same access.
  • Deadline: tell us about a handover, inspection or planned property photography.

For an empty property, the person meeting the crew should have the complete list of areas to clear. For an occupied home, keep children and pets away from the carrying route while loading takes place.

Same-day rubbish removal is available across Sydney. Call for urgent jobs and describe the complete load so the team can discuss a practical collection time.

The price depends on the volume and type of rubbish, item weight, carrying distance, stairs and labour involved. The crew checks the property and confirms the upfront price on site. Labour, tip fees, standard tolls and disposal costs are included for the agreed work.

A photo of the largest room helps with planning, but it does not show a full garage or a second floor of belongings. Showing everything together gives you a clearer quote than adding rooms after loading has started. If the scope changes, agree on the extra work and price first.

Choosing between a crew and doing it yourself

Separate reuse pickups may work for a few suitable pieces when you have time to arrange them. A skip can suit someone able to load it and provide an appropriate position. A crew collection handles the carrying as well as the removal, including items still inside the property.

If you want to keep or donate particular belongings, set them aside before collection. Tell us about reusable items when requesting a quote; do not assume every item in a mixed rubbish load can be donated or recycled.

A clearout tailored to the situation.

For a rental deadline, our end-of-lease rubbish removal explains how collection fits around moving and returning keys. For belongings after a death, see deceased estate cleanup, with time to identify personal items before removal.

If rooms are heavily congested or walkways are blocked, describe the conditions and see our hoarding cleanup service. Photos of access are as useful as photos of the pile.

Property cleanout covers suitable rubbish and unwanted contents. It does not include structural demolition, repairs or cleaning. We do not take asbestos, chemicals, oils, liquids, concrete, bricks, stone, pianos, safes or very heavy specialist items. Flag fixed fittings and unusual materials before booking.

Questions about clearing a property.

Can you clear part of a property?

Yes. Identify the rooms, storage areas and items you want cleared, along with anything that must stay. The crew quotes the agreed scope before loading.

Do I have to empty the house before you arrive?

No. Leave heavy items where they are and provide clear access. Set aside personal documents, valuables and retained belongings before the crew starts.

Can you include the garage and shed?

Yes, suitable garage and shed contents can be included. Show those spaces with the rest of the load, arrange keys and mention heavy or fixed items.

Can someone meet you on my behalf?

An authorised contact can meet the crew, explain what goes and stays and approve the on-site price. Arrange access and clear instructions before the visit.

How long will a property cleanout take?

Timing depends on the amount of rubbish, the rooms involved and access. Send photos and describe any deadline so the team can discuss the work needed.

Is cleaning included in a property cleanout?

The service removes the agreed rubbish and unwanted contents. Cleaning, repairs and structural work are separate tasks.
