If you cannot be at the property, the quote can be arranged with whoever holds the keys, and the price is confirmed with you before anything is loaded.

A full clearance and a staged clearance have different scopes. If the family is still sorting, identify the items ready now so that the first visit can be quoted separately.

Some estates are cleared in a single visit; others are easier in stages, starting with furniture and bulky items and returning for boxes, garage contents and garden areas once the family has finished sorting. Each visit has its own free on-site quote and upfront price.
If you are preparing for property photography, an inspection or a handover, tell us the date when you enquire. Also mention any time the property cannot be accessed. We can discuss the collection timing against the amount to remove and the work still being organised.
You do not need to decide the future of every belonging at once. A partial clearance can free up a room while the remaining contents stay untouched. Confirm which spaces are included so everyone involved understands what will be removed on the day.

If you are coordinating from interstate, nominate one person to provide access and one person to approve the quote. They may be the same person. Share a clear list of rooms and items to remove, and make sure the person approving the job can be reached during the visit.
Before the crew arrives, check drawers and cupboards for photographs, paperwork, jewellery and other keepsakes. Mark items to keep clearly. You do not need to carry heavy furniture outside to prepare for collection.
Some furniture and household items may still be suitable for family use, sale or donation. Identify these before the clearance and tell us which items are being kept for another collection. They should not be mixed into the rubbish load.
If you are considering donation, check that the recipient will accept the items and can collect them within your timeframe. Condition, demand and collection arrangements matter; an item being usable does not automatically mean a charity can take it.

That is normal. The job can be staged: bulky furniture first, then a later visit for boxes and remaining items once the family has finished going through them. Each visit gets its own upfront price.
