Which furniture needs to go?
Make space for new furniture, finish a move or clear a property before handover. Show the crew the complete load so everything you want removed is included in the quote.
Bedroom and dining furniture
Bed frames, wardrobes, tables, chairs, cabinets, shelving and outdoor furniture. Mattresses can be included with a furniture load.
Office and property clearances
Desks, tables, chairs and unwanted furniture left after downsizing, an office change or a rental move.

Leave the furniture where it is. Tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow hallways, tight doorways and how close the truck can park. For apartments and offices, share any lift booking or loading window before the visit.
Send photos of the larger items and the route out if access is awkward. Mention built-in furniture or anything unusually heavy so the team can confirm the removal arrangements. Keep furniture you are retaining separate from the items being collected.
Pianos, safes and very heavy specialist items are outside the standard rubbish removal service. Tell us about uncertain items when you call.
One old couch or a room full of furniture?
For a single piece, tell us what it is, roughly how large it is and which floor it is on. For a room clearance, photograph all the furniture together and list anything stored elsewhere. A bed base, mattress and wardrobe are separate items even when they are being cleared from the same bedroom.
Before replacement furniture arrives
Check your delivery date and decide whether the old furniture must leave first. Allow space for the new piece to enter without blocking hallways or communal access. If the delivery time is still uncertain, explain that when arranging collection rather than assuming both crews can attend together.
Before a rental handover
Agree which furniture belongs to you and which belongs to the property. Include balcony furniture and items left in storage in your list. Book with the key-return deadline in mind, and keep access available until the agreed items have been removed.
If there are also bags, boxes and other household leftovers, mention them when requesting the quote. We can assess the combined load; you do not have to describe a mixed clearout as several separate jobs.
What happens to unwanted furniture?
Condition matters. A clean, usable table may have reuse options that a damaged flat-pack unit does not. If you want to sell or donate a piece yourself, arrange that first and confirm the recipient will collect it. Donation acceptance depends on the organisation and the item's condition; leaving furniture outside can damage something that was previously reusable.
For the items we collect, the team explains practical reuse, recycling and disposal options. A piece containing timber, fabric, foam and metal cannot automatically be treated as one recyclable material. We do not promise that every couch or mattress will be donated.
Getting furniture ready safely
Empty drawers, wardrobes and shelves before the visit. Remove personal items from sofa compartments and bed storage. Tell us about loose glass, broken legs or sharp edges, and leave awkward lifting to the crew.
Standard dismantling needed for removal is covered in the quoted labour. Built-in joinery, wall attachments, powered recliners or unusually heavy pieces need discussion first. Do not disconnect fixed electrical or plumbing connections yourself as part of preparing a rubbish pickup.

Can you take just one couch?
Yes. We can collect a single couch. Send a photo with your suburb and access details, then approve the free on-site quote before the crew starts loading. The price includes the agreed carrying, loading and disposal.
Do you disassemble beds and wardrobes?
The crew handles standard disassembly needed to get an item out safely, such as bed frames and wardrobe doors, as part of the labour in the quote. Mention anything built-in when you call.
Can furniture be removed during an end of lease?
Yes. Furniture clearances before final inspections are one of the most common jobs, often combined with general rubbish from the same property in one load.
How fast can a furniture pickup happen?
